Do you only see LGBTQ patients?
No, I see patients of all sexual orientations! I highlight offering therapy to LGBTQIA patients as there is often a dearth of therapists who are openly part of the community and trained to support the unique needs of queer couples and queer youth, but I do not turn patients away if they are not part of the LGBTQIA community. I love having a diverse patient load and helping people however I can!
What insurance do you take?
I do not currently take any insurance, but I do provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Do you offer virtual therapy?
Do I need to be on camera for virtual therapy?
Do you offer sessions during evenings or weekends?
Do you offer any options for uninsured and low-income patients?
My partner and I want to go to couples counseling even though we aren’t having big problems. Is that okay?
When you become a patient, you will have access to an online payment portal that keeps your card on file. FSA and HSA cards are accepted. I also accept Venmo.
Yes! My Oakland-based therapy office is available for face-to-face visits and I offer virtual therapy to patients across the state.
Generally yes, unless there is a need for disability accommodation. This allows us to connect more authentically!
I do offer sessions in the evening as many folks need to meet after they get off work. Reach out to find out what specific times are available!
I keep a small number of patient load spots open for uninsured and low-income patients, and take them on a case-by-case basis. Please reach out to find out what the current availability is and/or to be added to my waitlist.
Of course! In fact, the best time to go to couples therapy is before any major issues have become deeply rooted. Exploring ways to strengthen your relationship is always a worthwhile endeavor, and sets you up for hurdles that you will face in the future.
